GLOBAL RESPONSIBILITY

Design is not just about form; it is a process that integrates technology, function and the aesthetic into a single thought. At ALNO, this process has evolved further with the increased awareness of environmental concerns as well as a new appreciation for our natural resources and the impact that manufacturing has on the world around us.

Shunning wasteful habits of the past, ALNO has given thoughtful consideration to the future. Manufacturers, who once utilized materials and techniques without a thought to the impact on the environment around them, today must make choices out of necessity and consequence, utilizing materials that are natural, reusable, abundant, renewable and long of life.

Imagine the distinctive wood graining of an exotic or rare wood species gracing the fronts of a kitchen, knowing that not one tree from the Brazilian rain forest or the plains of Africa was cut down to produce that kitchen. Now, through the magic of modern technology, ALNO has created the best of both worlds.

The ALNOART Woodline program, introduces a patented, graphic process that allows the homeowner to choose from a variety of exotic and endangered wood species. The PICTURE LINE© process is applied to an aluminium-encased, controlled growth, natural beech foundation, allowing the kitchen to have a book-matched veneer effect in three replicated grain patterns: Brazilian Rosewood, Zebra and Beech Heart

This ground-breaking ink-jet technology prints directly on to the doors of the kitchen from over 150 stock images and graphics, as well as from personal photos or images provided by the consumer. The most unique feature of this proprietary process is that it creates a surface that is UV-resistant, scratch, moisture and acid resistant as well as insensitive to heat and cold.

On the global stage, ALNO is recognized for its unparalleled production quality and is without equal on the forefront of advanced kitchen technology. New technologies set the standards for efficiency in production and quality control. However, this has not made ALNO complacent; they believe that they can always improve themselves and for this very reason ALNO factories and products are continually evolving, so that they might sustain and push forward the industry standard. ALNO believes that everyone has a global obligation to protect the environment and to secure our natural resources now and for generations to come.
